Today agriculture which feeds the world is facing twin challenges. One is climate change and its impact to agricultural production. The other is the population growth and increasing food demand. These two challenges are going hand in hand and any practical answer to the issue is paving the path to second green revolution.
By mid century, world population is going to surpass nine billion. According to Unites Nations FAO around one billion people on this planet are living with hunger and with projected population increase this issue will get worsen. At the same time according to the intergovernmental panel of climate change (IPCC) global surface temperature is going to increase by 1.1 - 6.4 °C.
